If the NDC wants to win elections in Enugu State, it must select credible candidates based on merit, not sentiment. Fielding someone who cannot win in their own ward, let alone Enugu East, is a losing strategy.

For the party to win Enugu East, remove Ada Ogbu, who is working for the APC, and field a candidate we know can deliver. With Ada Ogbu as the senatorial candidate, NDC is set up for failure.

To the good people of Enugu State, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, and members of the NDC EXCO at the national and state levels: Good morning.*

For the NDC to secure victory in Enugu State, the party must adopt credible candidates selected on merit rather than sentiment. Nominating a candidate who cannot win in their own ward, much less in Enugu East, undermines our chances.

To win Enugu East, the party should remove Ada Ogbu, who is working for the APC, and nominate a candidate with proven capacity to deliver. Retaining Ada Ogbu as the senatorial candidate will result in failure for the NDC.
