2027: Prof Jehu Nnaji Picks NDC Expression of Interest Form for Enugu East Senatorial Election

A frontline Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Aspirant for the 2027 Enugu East Senatorial Election, Professor Jehu Onyekwere Nnaji, has purchased Expression of Interest Form for the poll in Abuja.

Speaking to journalists after picking the form, Professor Nnaji said he is ready for screening for party primary which is expected to commence on Tuesday May 19, 2026 and ends Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

“My choice is founded on trust, credibility, and proven capacity as I consulted widely before embarking on this journey.
.
“As a senator I will represent Enugu East Senatorial District with a firm commitment by placing the welfare and collective interests of the people above personal considerations.
.
The Amurri born scholar contested in the 2023 governorship seat in his home state, Enugu on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but apparently out of affections and way of expressing his love for humanity devoid of rumpus, stepped down for the current governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah.

Also recall that Nnaji who ran for Enugu East Senatorial position in 2019, has many international professional/academic publications to his credit.
